Ingredients

Units Scale

Tea Base

  • 1 1/2 cups lemonade
  • 1 1/2 cups water
  • 2 bags mint tea
  • 2 bags peach tea

Additional Flavorings

  • 2 teaspoons freshly grated ginger
  • 1 to 2 teaspoons honey (or more to taste)
  • 1 lemon wedge or slice for garnish

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Liquid Base: Bring the lemonade and water to a gentle boil in a kettle or saucepan to create a warm tea base ready for steeping.
  2. Steep the Tea and Ginger: Place the mint and peach tea bags along with the freshly grated ginger into separate mugs or a large measuring cup/pitcher. Pour the hot lemonade-water mixture over them and allow steeping for about 5 minutes to infuse the flavors fully.
  3. Sweeten the Tonic: After steeping, remove the tea bags and stir in honey according to your preferred sweetness level, blending the natural flavors together.
  4. Garnish and Serve: Add a fresh lemon wedge or slice for garnish to enhance the citrus aroma, then serve the tonic warm and enjoy.

Notes

  • You can adjust the quantity of honey depending on your taste preference or dietary needs.
  • For a stronger ginger flavor, increase the amount of freshly grated ginger.
  • This tonic can also be served chilled by allowing it to cool and adding ice cubes.
  • Using fresh lemonade provides a bright citrus balance, but you can substitute with homemade lemon juice mixed with water if preferred.
